High-definition Audio Post Production

without comments

While you will already be acquainted with high definition audio from experiencing surround sound in picture theatres and in your house entertainment center, an sophisticated leading edge technology is bringing the same experience to your headphones. Dolby’s new surround sound system lets you experience the sensation of surround sound right in your headphones.

Podcast listeners don’t always have to own special new headsets to appreciate the standard of high definition audio. For the past few years, live music lovers have traded high definition music files on the web. Generally, these files are high quality field recordings made at live concerts, often sanctioned by musicians.

In uncompressed, lossless formats, these files can take up great amounts of space. So, high-definition audio post production systems must be supplied with large hard drives and maxed-out memory chips to process these files.

As a result, many podcast producers are introducing themselves to the arena of high definition audio post production. While many of the free audio editing software programs on the market handle post production quite well, none adequately process the Hi-D elements required for true surround sound. To achieve true high-definition audio post production on a desktop PC, many sound editors may finish up purchasing full media production apartments.

Windows users accustomed to post production software like insolence can expect to spend a little more money to achieve hi-def podcasts and audio recordings. The Vegas media production suite, while designed primarily for video and film production, contains a complicated high-definition audio post production module. Using Vegas with the video elements turned off, editors can compose and edit audio in full 5.1 surround sound formats.

Apple users used to using the well-liked GarageBand tool for podcasting must also invest in some new software for Hi-D audio post production. The favored Logic Pro software package offers podcasters and other audio producers a powerful set of tools for music creation in full surround sound. While this Hi-D audio post production tool is one of the most expensive packages on the market, editors using Logic frequently save important amounts of money compared to leasing advanced hardware at pro recording flats.

DIY Music Production

without comments

Why spend money to do the recording at the professional studio when you can do it at home? Are you able to produce a top quality work when the professional studio charge you hourly rate? How wonderful if you can do the recording at home whenever you like? Let’s see how can this occur. It isn’t as difficult as you believed.

Today’s recording relied heavily on the computer software ; thus, you need to have an honest computer to help you. If you’re not a tech savvy, get the computer support expert to wire up everything for you properly. The computer should provide with a sound card with midi in / out port.

Music editing software or some call music sequencer is an absolute must. There are number of such products in the market. For example, Acid and Cinescore from Sony and Sonar studio from Cakewalk.

For the input device, you can buy a midi input device such as electronic keyboard or electone if you have the budget. Otherwise, a standard computer keyboard can also do the same thing but it is rather tedious. By the way, for a noob, I would like to recommend a product call Prodikeys by Creative Technology. Prodikeys is the combination of music keyboard ( with only 37 keys ) and PC keyboard.

It is advisable for you to have a moderately good mic. The normal mic that comes with the computer is not OK for sound recording purposes. Ask the audio shop to suggest one which is frequently used for singing purpose. Having said that, you need not have a sound proof environment but do your recording in a room which is isolated to keep the unwelcome noise to minimum.

Once the infrastructure is up, you’ll need to get yourself up to speed with the music editing software before the rest. Don’t start to figure out how to use the software only when you’re into the actual music production. Reason being, learning to use the software can be time intensive. The disappointment in the educational process may kill your creativity at that point.

There are some critical things to notice when you plan for your music arrangement. As further amendment and enhancement will surely be carried out by the recording company, don’t make your music too sophisticated. It is more important that you’re able to demonstrate the uniqueness and the feeling of your music. Your music must be in a position to read and therefore accepted by the music producers.

Enjoy your recording.

Useful Projector Lamp Advices

without comments

The most important factor that needs to be considered when buying a projector lamp is the resolution. For office application like the PowerPoint presentations, a XGA (1024×768) resolution in usually sufficient. For multimedia applications, the image aspect should be 16:9 specific to the movie display. In this class of projectors fit those with 854×480 (480p), 1280×720 (720p) and 1920×1080 (1080i) resolutions. The price is proportional with resolution and that is why a full HD compatible projector can reach or even go above the amount of 300.

The luminous intensity (lumen) will reflect the clarity of the image projected in a well lighted room. Usually the projectors have two working modes: normal and economical. The first is recommended for the rooms with a higher luminosity and the second is perfect for darker rooms.

In the case of projectors the lamp is considered a consumable with a few thousand hours life span. Usually the device will announce by itself when the lamp needs to be replaced and that is when the intensity of luminosity reaches the half of the original capacity. When buying a projector the cost of the lamp replacing must be also considered.

The projecting distance and the projected image diagonal are also very important. One must consider the dimension of the wall or screen that will be used. It is good to know that for a more vivid projection it must be used a white wall of screen. If a higher contrast rate is what interests you it is recommended the usage of a grey screen. In this case the colors will suffer.

Depending on the video signal source, one has to be careful at the jacks and sockets that the projector has. Most of them work with D-Sub, Component, Composite and S-Video connectors. The new and high resolution models have also DVI and HDMI ports. It is good to know that a projector with original resolution of 720p can in the most of the cases offer a video signal of 1080i due to the scaling motor.

Stabilizing digital video

without comments

Co-published by: Outdoor Intercom Units. Digital videos are the latest thing in videos now. The days that you were worried about the video cassettes is now over and it is totally a new technology that you have to deal with. This is the age of CDs and DVDs as everything has gone digital. But there are many of us who still own some special and valued tapes that have some of the best memories in them. The risk of having your memories on a tape is that you will losoe them soon or later and day by day, as the picture quality reduces with the decay of the tapes . What can be done? This is where a digital video stabilizer can be of great help.

A digital video stabilizer can convert the video data from conventional tapes (analog) to CDs or DVDs (digital). The digital video stabilizer works such that it removes the copy-protection on the videotape, and then converts and copy the data on the videotape to the DVD. The digital video stabilizer also helps copy data from videotape to videotape.

It is important to note here that it is legal for the owner of the tape to make copies from the videotape onto the DVD for his own use, using the digital video stabilizer. If you are interested in buying a digital video stabilizer, how do you find one? If you perform a simple search on the Internet, you will find plenty of places for buying digital video stabilizers and most of them come with free shipping.

Prices for a digital video stabilizer can range from around $20 to more than $40. Any digital video stabilizer works with any kind of VCR, but some of the digital video stabilizer work with only certain brand of DVD recorders. It is important to do some research on the model of the digital video recorder you are interested in purchasing before you actually do so, to see if it is compatible with the VCR and DVD recorder you already own.

The digital video stabilizer totally keeps you worry-free as now you do not have to worry about the decay of the video tapes you have. It is quite easy and secure to store your video footage on a CD or DVD, where the digital video stabilizer helps you to transfer all the videos on the tapes without loss of quality to DVD format.

We are living in a digital world

without comments

Brought to you by: Black And White Outdoor Cameras. The world has gone digital. That’s the only way to explain how the world works today. Everyone you meet is carrying a mobile phone, a laptop, an mp3 player and sometimes a digital camera with them when they move about. Although the above electronic devices once considered luxury, now they have become almost essentials for the day-to-day life.

Digital video cameras are another one of the digital accessories that almost everyone own these days. Digital video cameras are now available in all the major brands, like Sony, LG, Panasonic, Canon and JVC, and because of the easy availability prices of these digital video cameras are quite reasonable as well. Prices for these digital video cameras can range from around $100 to higher than $2000, depending on what you require from the digital video cameras. The most basic ones would have all the functions you need like zooming capabilities, but it may not have much storage capacity or may be too heavy. The cameras at the expensive end will have a great resolution, higher optical zooming factor, light weight, and higher product quality.

Digital video cameras are handier than traditional video cameras, as for one they store data in the form of bytes of data, and for another, they can be loaded directly onto a computer and edited. If an old-style video camera had been used the whole process would be much longer and a lot more tedious, with the need to use cassettes and also the chance of the quality of video going down with each copy taken.

Digital video cameras make documenting that special day a lot easier as they can be stored in a personal computer, edited, emailed, and manipulated on the computer itself, which meant that the quality would not be affected. The expensive video cameras have a lot of space for storing the videos, and have the internal memory to support all the data, and so there is no hassle of needing to change cassettes as it was with the older video cameras.

Currently, digital video cameras are available in many forms. Although the digital cameras manufactured recently are designed for photography, there are cameras that are capable of recording videos as well., as this is one of the handy features the young generation demanded from digital cameras. The modern mobile phones also come with powerful digital video camers and they are able to capture videos with high resolution and clarity.

BluRay DVD Disc Players

with 2 comments

Get more from: Neoprene Notebook Slipcases. Bluray discs are the newest and the latest when it comes to optical disc storage. The time of the DVD and the CD seems to be coming to an end. DVD’s had the disadvantage of only being able to store only about 700 MB of data on the disc, but Bluray discs can store up to 50 GB memory on a single disc.

A Bluray dvd player is a player that not only plays bluray discs but others as well, like the conventional CD’s and DVD’s. Because the laser wavelength differs from the one used to read and write older DVDs and CDs, the newer bluray technology needs to be compatible with older forms that are still in use.

A bluray dvd player is a great possession to boast about as it still isn’t totally mainstream, even though it can be purchased at many online and other electronics stores. Although in paying for a bluray dvd player, you’d be paying more than you do for a normal DVD player, you are paid back by the quality of the experience.

Standard quality is no longer enough, with everyone rushing to get super-high quality goods. That’s fair enough as we like to say that we’re getting what we paid for. A Bluray dvd player will give all of us the option of watching the same movies but with much better picture quality, clarity, sound and with the added option of using special features in a  better way as well.

For example with bluray technology, bluray discs will be capable of holding much more information than before, and so hence a movie could be watched with the added specials in it.

The Bluray dvd player has been released by many companies, all trying to get into the market with the newest technology. Brands like Panasonic, Sony, Philips, LG and Samsung are just some of the brands that have put into the market new DVD players that are compatible not just with bluray discs but with conventional CD’s and DVD’s as well.

This backward compatibility is something completely optional, as when the bluray dvd player is being made it is up to the company to decide if to use a BD/DVD/CD compatible optical head or not, but because of the growing popularity of bluray discs, it would be against the best interests of the company to not include this new technology in their products.
