Review For The Panasonic EP 30003 Massage Chair

without comments

We evaluate the Panasonic Real Pro Ultra in 5 categories including Warranty & Customer Service, Comfort/Ergonomics, Ease of Use, Features and Massage Therapy. Each individual category is given equal weight of 20 potential points. This systematic approach helps to present massage chairs from the same vantage point to help make comparison easier. If you are looking for a massage chair, then check out the Real Pro Ultra. The model EP 30003 is a mid range model.

Warranty & Customer Service: After sale support and service is important for your longer term peace of mind. Each manufacturer is different. Panasonic has 3 year parts and 1 year labor. Panasonic has integrated an hour counter mechanism. This hour counter tracks how long the chair is used. Panasonic gives 1,000 hours of warranty coverage with this counter. The warranty coverage ends after 1,000 hours of usage. You may need to consider an extended warranty with this chair to match some of the other chair brands. We rate it a 16 for this category.

Comfort & Ergonomics: The Real Pro Ultra is well designed with many intuitive placement of controls and general fit of the massage chair. It is comfortable to sit in with the plush back pad. The seat is comfortable and springy. You can sit back and feel comfortable. When you are laid back, you cannot reach the controls. You either have to get up or put the controller by your side to make adjustments. If you are tall, then this chair may be a bit too small. There are no adjustments to accommodate taller users. Our rating in this category is 17.

Ease of Use: Intuitive and easy to use are some of the hardest elements to get right with today’s electronics. Massage chairs have so many features, that some controllers become an unsightly mess. You have to spend hours over the manual to figure some of them out. This severely detracts from the massage therapy environment. Panasonic has a simple control. They incorporate along the top of the control the automatic massages for one button selection. You can tailor massages fairly easy and the learning of the control is rather fast. We give an 18.

Key Features: 2 of the best features of the Real Pro Ultra is the reflexology foot massage and the Junetsu massage. Most people do not yet understand the importance of the feet in massage therapy. When stress is put on the body, the body activates the hands and feet for action. The major organs then gear up to for support. Reflexology foot massage helps to reverse this process. The Panasonic EP 30003 comes with reflexology foot massage that helps relax the whole body. The other important feature is an ultra fine kneading called Junetsu. Small circles are made with firm pressure. This provides a penetrating and deep tissue relief. We rate this an 18.

Massage Therapy: The Panasonic Real Pro Ultra is equipped with customizable self-programs, 5-minute quick refresher massage and 4 other massage programs. The 4 other programs include shiatsu, deep, Swedish and stretch. The lower body air massage includes 14 airbags for calf and foot coverage. The Junetsu or ultra fine kneading is a new feature by Panasonic which is also in this massage recliner. The back rollers give you 132 square inches of coverage. Manual controls include tapping, kneading, rolling and combination. For the price range, the massage therapy is pretty thorough. The ultra fine kneading is a great addition for this price point. Our rating in this category is 19.

Ok, the moment of truth. The overall rating for the Panasonic EP 30003 is an 88/100. This is a solid rating for a solid chair. The Real Pro Ultra is a good performer in the mid range massage chair market. The reflexology foot massage and the addition of Junetsu massage is great value at this price point. The warranty is OK. You would hope for better protection from Panasonic, so check out an extended warranty. This is a long term investment for your health. If you are tall, then you may want to try this chair to see how well you fit. If you are looking for a mid range shiatsu massage chair recliner then this could be a good choice for you.

The Human Touch HT 1650 Massage Chair

without comments

The human touch company makes a broad range of massage chairs. One of their high-end models is the HT 1650. Unlike most massage chairs, the HT 1650 looks more like a traditional recliner. It is quite a large chair and provides full body massage capability. We peel back the layers of the HT 1650 to reveal some of its more important features.

An important technology integrated into the human touch HT 1650 is the body scan. The body scan will locate the acupoints for your back, neck and shoulders. This information is then used to identify the acupoints to provide an acupressure type massage.

This massage recliner will perform a full scan of your back and determine your specific acupoints. There are known to be over 100 acupoints in the neck, shoulders and back. Your body has a total of over 350 acupoints. As the scan is performed, the chairs computer will note where your specific acupoints are located.

The HT 1650 uses the acupoint detection system for acupressure massages such as shiatsu. These massage is stimulate the acupoints. These can be activated using the manual controls. You also must set your shoulder height manually each time you use the chair.

The HT 1650 comes with eight automatic massage programs. These are full body massage programs. They range from sports therapy to light stretching and warm-up massages. Each of these automatic programs are designed for a specific purpose.

There are also four manual massage functions included in this massage recliner. The four manual massage functions are compression, rolling, percussion and kneading. You may select these manual programs in use them in conjunction with manual massage courses.

Also in the manual mode, you may select to target the massage in a particular region. There are a number of different regions available and you may also target a specific point. This helps you to better control exactly where you want the massage applied.

An interesting feature integrated into the HT 1650 is its unique leg rest. The leg rest is flat on one side. However, when you flip it over, it has spaces to fit your legs and. These leg Wells are used to deliver a compression massage to the calves.

There leg rest adds greatly to the aesthetic appeal of the HT 1650. Most massage chairs have these large leg wells on the front. It is a nice design to be able to flip the leg well when it is not in use. This is a massage chair well heating and a recliner.

The HT 1650 works from a hardwired remote control. The remote control has two faces with function buttons. By utilizing two faces, the remote was slammed down. There is also a pocket of material which holds the remote when not in use.

One of the areas of concern for me with this HT 1650 massage chair is the strength of the massage. Although there are many different techniques, many of them are to light to be effective for my taste. This can be a problem down the road. You want to make sure that any massage chair you purchasable provide a strong enough massage for the years to come.

The massage recliner has the traditional recliner look. This massage chair is a large looking traditional recliner. It also comes with a comprehensive warranty. One of the important features of the warranty coverage from human touch is in-home technician service.

The design of the HT 1650 is headed in the right direction. It is one of the few massage recliners which does not look like a typical massage chair. The main drawback on the aesthetics is that the chair looks very large. It is fairly comfortable to sit in and can compliment most rooms. If you are looking for a high-end massage recliner, then check this one out but make sure that it will meet your long term therapeutic needs.

Review about the Human Touch HT1650 Massage Chair

without comments

The Luxury massage chair recliner model HT-1650 is the subject of this product review. The HT 1650 is made by Human Touch. The HT1650 is unique in that it looks like a normal recliner, but has many massage therapy capabilities. Let us take a look at this unique massage chair, the HT-1650 by Human Touch.

We are first going to look at warranty coverage. We emphasize this because we have seen our share of customer horror stories of going with a small massage chair importer. They then run into problems and get stuck with a chair that doesn’t work, no parts are available and no one can fix it. We always recommend going with a recognized brand with higher quality standards and longevity.

Although, are incidence of problem massage chairs is very low in percentage terms. However, if it happens to you it is 100%. The HT 1650 comes with 5 year coverage on the chair’s structure, 3 years coverage for parts and 1 year coverage for labor and 90 days coverage with field service. This is good, comprehensive coverage with this luxury model and is competitive with the big players.

This massage chair comes with 4 manual massage functions. The manual massage functions include: rolling, compression, kneading and percussion. There are also 8 automatic programs which include: full body sore muscle relief, sports and back therapy, leg- foot-hip therapy, neck-shoulders relief, after work stretch, morning wake up, night time soothing, and massage demonstration. Each of these automatic massage functions provides for targeted relief of particular areas.

The HT-1650 has a built in body scan function. The body scan detects your acupressure points throughout you back. The computer notes the location of each point and identifies the most important for stimulation. The massage is then adjusted to target those acupressure points to help induce full body relaxation. This is particularly important for the shiatsu style massage, which stimulates your acupressure points during the course of the massage.

Human Touch has designed this massage recliner to look just like a normal recliner. To do that, they have a unique calf massager. The calf massage is actually hidden in the leg rest and can be flipped over. When you flip it over, then the leg wells where you can place your legs is visible. However, when not in use, you can flip it back and it looks like a normal recliner. This enables you to put this massage chair recliner in virtually any room in your house.

If you have sore feet or tightness of the calves, then the leg rest massager is a great feature for you. This leg rest comes equipped with an air compression system. There are airbags built into the leg wells that perform a soothing compression massage. The air system activates the airbags and they will gently or firmly squeeze, hold and release your feet or calves. This is very soothing and relieving for your feet and calves.

One of the impressive features of the HT 1650 is the two sided remote. This unique remote has controls of two of the four sides. This enabled Human Touch to reduce the size of the remote by taking advantage of this remote real estate. With a smaller remote, the remote stand was then removed. In its place is a pocket built into the chair to house the remote control. This is a great design feature which keeps this recliner looking like a recliner–rather than your typical massage chair.

4 Benefits Employers Derive From Custom Technical Furniture

without comments

Many think of custom technical furniture as a luxury. Nothing could be further from the truth. Custom technical furniture is an investment in the most important asset any business has – its employees. Following are four distinct benefits companies receive by purchasing custom technical furniture.

Custom Technical Furniture Promotes Good Employee Health:

If your employees sit for long periods of time, an investment in custom technical furniture is an investment in their health. Some professions that can benefit from custom technical furniture, for example, are air traffic controllers, computer programmers and word processors. Over time, some of the injuries that can result from sitting for prolonged periods include back aches, leg cramps and posture problems. These can all be prevented with ergonomically correct, custom-designed, technical furniture.

Custom Technical Furniture Saves Space:

One of the most alluring benefits companies get by investing in custom technical furniture is that it is built to specifications. This allows employers to utilize their office square footage more effectively.

Reputable custom technical furniture makers will work directly with you to design pieces that fit your work space to precise specifications. This allows employers to maximize their square footage — as well as employee workflow.

Custom Technical Furniture Is Stylish:

The design options available in custom technical furniture are limited only by your imagination. From stainless steel to wood to various types of finishes, you’re sure to find a style to suit your design palette.

Custom Technical Furniture is a Money Saver:

Purchasing custom technical furniture for your business is a great cost-saver because it does allow you to use your space so efficiently. This mean you’ll be less likely to relocate to another location because the one you’re in doesn’t suit your needs.

Which is more cost effective – to have a new workstation built to suit the office space you’re already in, or move your whole company to a new location? When viewed in this light, investing in custom technical furniture is a no-brainer!

A Massage Chair Performs Shiatsu Massage Just Like Hands

without comments

Traditionally, shiatsu massage has been performed by skilled therapists to ease and relieve aches and pains throughout the body. The evolution of technology includes robotic massage chairs capable to imitate a shiatsu massage therapist. The most advanced models locate acupressure points by making a scan of the body. The chair then accurately pinpoints an individual’s acupressure points. These shiatsu massage chairs can deliver a full body shiatsu massage including the acupressure points which induce whole body relaxation.

Shiatsu is a massage technique originating over 5,000 years ago with roots in traditional Asian medicine. The technique has parallels to acupuncture, but without needles. Instead, pressure is applied to specific point in the body. Shiatsu is based on manipulating the flow of energy throughout the body. Shiatsu is thought to help restore the balance in the body. The shiatsu massage technique uses gentle stretching along with applying a rhythmic and gradual pressure using a kneading motion. Shiatsu uses certain pressure points along certain meridian or pathways that related to specific organs in the body. Shiatsu literally means finger (shi) and pressure (atsu) or finger pressure. The use of a finger pressure massage is used to regulate the flow of energy in the body. A shiatsu massage induces deep relaxation, increases the energy flow and brings the body back into balance.

Skilled humans have performed massage throughout the centuries evolving into many techniques. Shiatsu continues to evolve with technology as has been integrated into the current shiatsu massage chairs. Integrating advanced electronics with sophisticated software controls means one tireless robotic masseuse. Mechanical fingers replicate subtle hand and finger movements. They scan your body to find critical points and customize the massage just for your body.

The mechanical systems can apply gentle pressure to acupressure points. Effective acupressure massage helps to relax the body and tranquil the mind. Shiatsu Massage chairs also have mechanisms that replicate the thumbs, hand and fingers. Imagine little mechanized fingers provide shiatsu therapy that never tire. Select from gentle or firm and select little or more pressure for the acupressure massage. Shiatsu techniques make use of rubbing, percussion, kneading and vibration.

Shiatsu massage chairs provide a wide variety of therapies to aid many ailments and symptoms. Shiatsu massage has been shown to help stimulate circulation in the capillaries of the skin. Shiatsu is used to treat those suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis. Shiatsu reduces muscular pain, limbers up muscles and increase nutrition flow throughout the body. A shiatsu massage assists the metabolize fat which increase stamina.

It is hard to match the gentle and soft touch of a human. Human hands have subtle and unique qualities making them simple, yet complex. Maybe the robotic massage chair cannot replace human hands yet. At least they never tire. You can use them 24/7 without an appointment. Relax to the built in music player and drift away as the pressure points are released one by one. Whatever you do, do not let your symptoms persist and please find treatment. There are ailments that can be treated at home with a shiatsu massage chair.

Review for the Human Touch HT7120 Massage Chair

without comments

Human Touch has a wide variety of massage chairs for virtually any need and budget. This review will focus on the HT-7120 massage recliner by Human Touch. This recliner is in the $2,000 to $3,000 price level. This review is in 5 main parts which include warranty coverage and customer service, comfort and ergonomics, ease of use, key features and massage therapy. Each of these areas can earn up to 20 points each. An overall rating is given by summing up the areas for a total possible rating of 100. Let us see how the HT 7120 rates in this review.

Warranty Coverage and Customer Service: We start with warranty, since this is the consumer’s long term protection against the occurrence of defects in workmanship. The warranty coverage for the HT-7120 is 3 years on the structure, 1 year on parts and 90 days labor. Labor is provided for 90 days and Human Touch will cover the shipping to and from the customer during this period. There is in home technician service available, but at the customer’s expense. This is a very light warranty by industry standards. Customer service is provided by Human Touch and they are competent at diagnosing problems. We rate the warranty coverage for this recliner a 12.

Comfort and Ergonomics: With any massage chair design, ergonomics is an important aspect of design for comfort and relaxation. We like the ergonomics of the HT 7120. It has a very contemporary design, yet it fits the body well and is very comfortable to sit in. The controls are laid out well and positioned in good locations. The leg ottoman can be adjusted in the width of the wells, but you are unable to extend the leg ottoman. This recliner earns an 18 in this category.

Ease of Use: The massage chair industry is always adding features into chairs which is outstanding. The counterbalance to many features is ease of use. With so many new features, figuring out how to take advantage of them can be frustrating. The HT 7120 comes with a very well designed remote control. It is slim remote and has controls located on 2 sides of the remote. The remote is descriptive and fairly easy to use. There is no remote stand, so the remote tucks away in a pocket. The only cumbersome operation is flipping the leg ottoman, but other than that we give the HT 7120 a 19 in ease of use.

Key Features: The interesting features in the HT-7120 are the compression massage and the channel width adjustment in the leg ottoman. The compression massage is based on sports massage therapy. It is a combination of stroking massage and a rocking motion. The stroking massage helps to elongate muscles and also applies firm pressure for deep tissue relief. The rocking motion helps to loosen the spinal joints and relieve pressure. The channel width is adjustable in the leg ottoman. This is a nice feature allowing for the pressure to be adjusted to better accommodate your calves and feet. We give this recliner an 18 for key features.

Massage Therapy: There are various massage therapy functions with the HT 7120. It comes with 5 manual massage programs, 3 pre-set programs and 3 level height adjustments for the back. You can select from rolling, kneading, compression, percussion and vibration with the manual programs. You can select from sore muscle relief, energy rejuvenate and auto-demo for the pre-programs. One nice compliment to the massage therapy are the built in heaters for the lower back. You can also activate the full body stretch function. Your feet and calves can obtain soothing relief with the massaging leg ottoman. The HT-7120 earns a 19 for massage therapy.

Overall, we rate the HT-7120 an 86/100. This is a sleek and contemporary design for a massage chair. We are concerned with the really short warranty compared to others in the industry. These chairs are well built and designed, but warranty is your long term protection and this warranty is one of the shortest. The massage therapy is very effective and the controls are simple and easy to use. This is certainly a massage chair recliner that deserves your attention if you are looking for a solid mid range model.

Indispensable Tips for Purchasing a Massage Chair

without comments

If you are looking for a massage chair, then check out some of the helpful tips we have put together. There is many new technologies, features, options, styles that finding a place to start is sometimes difficult. We present some broader considerations applicable to most massage recliners. Take your time and find the best chair for your longer term needs.

Customer Service & Repair: Evaluate the warranties of each manufacturer. How long is the coverage? Companies like Sanyo and Panasonic only have a 1 year warranty. Others may have 3-5 year warranties (at no additional cost). Also, what type of service will they provide if you have a problem? Do you have to ship your massage chair or take it to an authorized service center? Massage chairs weigh 100lbs to 200 lbs and shipping is expensive. Some manufacturers offer in home service. Be aware before you buy!

Buy for the Long Term Solution: Are you looking to get into a massage chair to relieve one symptom over a short time period. Maybe you want a entry level massage chair that is simple to use and lower price. Or are you looking for a longer-term solution where you expect long term performance and many advantageous features. Lower end massage chairs have short warranties and are built with lower quality components. Higher end massage chairs have longer warranties, more features and are built with higher quality components.

Massage Therapies: Massage recliners offer a tremendous variety of effective massage therapies. You can find chairs with shiatsu, Swedish, deep tissue, sports, Hawaiian and more. It helps to know a little about the more important techniques like shiatsu, Swedish and deep tissue. Each therapy has a particular focus. Also, manual massage techniques include kneading, chopping, percussion, tapping, finger press and others. It is good to try different chairs because the same massage technique may be interpreted differently.

Upholstery Material: Massage chairs come in leather, synthetic leather and faux suede. There are advantages and disadvantages to each material. Leather is very wear resistant, but requires more maintenance and cannot be used with heating elements. Synthetic leather or PVC leather has improved dramatically with many materials softer, wear resistant and easy to clean. Faux suede enables many fashionable colors to be used, but may be more problematic to keep clean.

Manual or Power Assisted Recline: These days most massage chairs over $1,500 are power assisted in lowering the chair back and raising the footrest. Manual is with the use of a lever and a hydraulic cylinder. The cylinder will raise the footrest or chair back. The user has to lower the footrest and push back to lower the chair back. Most entry level massage recliners have manual controls. The power assisted recline utilizes a motor for chair back and a motor for the footrest. These operate with a one-touch control and may be integrated into moving with different massage programs.

Whatever perspective you are coming from, find out what benefits you want from a massage recliner. They provide numerous therapies or you can target a particular ailment. Find the best chair for your needs over a 3 to 5 year period. That way, you will have many therapies to choose from for many years to come. Think about how your needs may change through time and find one right for you.
