Does Nexus Meet Your Specifications?
Today Google Nexus is out in the market. Well now the question that arises is- How is the much- talked about Google Phone? This doubt is ought to be asked because Google in the past has always set standards. Google is one brand that more than lives up to people’s expectations. So, is Google’s first effort in the Hardware industry up to its benchmarks?
Partially yes and to a certain extent no. Yes because Google Nexus is a great phone. And no simply because after the phone is launched, folks aren’t ecstatic about it. And why are they not ecstatic about the already famous Google Nexus? Possibly because there is nothing different in the Phone that we didn’t know of. In other sense all the rumors about the phone’s specs were right, and Google fans did not get to see any new thing in the Phone that would leave them awe- struck.
But that does not make Nexus a bad phone; it’s just that it does not match up to a- Google- product feel. All said, we now have confirmed specs of the phone. And this time it’s not a mere speculation or some random rumor. It’s the actual Google Nexus spec:
3. 7 inches AMOLED
1GHz snapdragon processor
512 MB of RAM and ROM
5. megapixel camera
And lastly, the Android work!
Today happens to be the first day of the release, and people are busy finding out how and what the phone is like. Once more, a reminder to all, Google Nexus is likely to follow Google wave style- Invite- Only Pattern. So let’s see how things move on to in the coming days, and if people welcome Google Nexus as they do other phones or get too cruel and criticize about it for being a Google product. Well, only time and Google users can tell this. For now let us wait and watch.
